Brenda
Office manager at Helmwood Veterinary Clinic since 1998, Brenda attended North Hardin High School and McKendree College. Brenda's hobbies are numerous. She enjoys motorcycle riding, fishing, boating and reading. Best of all, she loves spending time with her children, husband, and grandchildren.
Clara
Clara has been with us at North Hardin Veterinary Clinic since January 1989. She and her husband, Bob, have two children and four grandchildren. She enjoys taking long trips on their motorcycle, riding her scooter, watching NASCAR races, going to yard sales, stamping cards with her husband and going ice-fishing with her Dad. Clara has four dogs and two cats. She is a member of the Newfoundland Club of America and loves to spend time swimming with her Newfoundlands.
Laura
Laura Miller is one of our Receptionists. She has her degree in biology and chemistry and is currently working on a master’s degree in teaching. She has been in the veterinary industry for five years, previously working at an animal shelter. She currently has two domestic short hairs; Malachi and Beaker.In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, teaching, sewing and photography.
Melissa
Melissa Williams is both a receptionist and technician at our clinic. She has three dogs: Merlo, a Rottweiler; Meeko, a chow mix; and Roo, a lab/husky mix. She enjoys working with animals and fishing, camping, going to the lake, or doing anything outdoors in her free time.
Lisa
Lisa has been a member of the kennel staff since July 2002. Local to the area, she attended West Hardin High School. She is married to her husband, Joe, and they have three children, Aaron, Leslie and Caleigh. Lisa has two Shih-Tzus named Sadie and Darry. During her free time, she enjoys shopping, yard sales and gardening.
Mary Noe
Mary Noe is one of our Kennel Technicians. She is from Lexington, Kentucky and has a six year-old basset hound named Lily. She has always had a passion for animals and once had a great dane who had a litter of 12 puppies! Apart from spending time with her furry friends and teaching them new tricks, she enjoys camping, fishing, quilting, gardening and reading.
Tasha
Tasha is a Full Time Receptionist and Veterinary Assistant. Tasha grew up in Benton, Kansas. She graduated from Community Care College with her diploma in Veterinary Assistant. Tasha has worked in the veterinary field for two years. She has two pets, “Toven” a male Australian Cattle Dog and “Tula” a female Lab/Husky mix. Her hobbies include painting, drawing and shopping at Antique Stores. Most of all she loves to spend time with her two dogs and her husband.
Dana
Dana was born and raised in Elizabethtown, KY. She graduated from Elizabethtown High School and the University of Kentucky (cum laude) and has been a veterinary technician at Helmwood since 2002. She enjoys hiking, reading, antiquing and spending time with her family. Dana has two cats, Jonesy and Mose, and a Pekingese named Buddy; all three of which are rescued animals.
Leslie
Leslie has been a technician at Helmwood since 2002. She has two dogs, a mixed breed named Ozzie and a French Bulldog named Buckley. They enjoy their 5-mile hike at the lake every weekend that weather permits. Leslie is also a huge cat-lover. She has seven indoor cats, most of which were abandoned at the clinic and were taken home and "bottle-raised" by Leslie. She says, "There's nothing greater than the face and purr of a three-week old kitten."
Stephanie
Stephanie Highley has over eight years of experience working with animals. She is originally from Adrian, Missouri and graduated from the University of Central Missouri. Her pets include Kash a yorkie, Shelby a boxer/lab mix and five hermit crabs! When not spending time with her family (furry or not) she likes to read, listen to music, do yard work and watch football.
Cassie
Cassie is married to her husband, Donnie, and has two young children, Daimon and Mercedes. She enjoys baking and riding four-wheelers with her family. Cassie's pets include two guinea pigs named Nicks and Oinky, a Siberian Husky named Ruby, a Chihuahua-Pug mix named Chipmunk and three cats named Garlic, po and Biscuit.
Alisha
Alisha is one of our Receptionist and a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Alisha grew up in Brandenburg, Kentucky and went to Meade County High School. She graduated from Jefferson State Community College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science (Deans List and Magna cum lande). She has been in the veterinary field for 9 years. Alisha has donated her time with the Rabies Clinics. She has two cats a domestic short hair named “Candy Cane” and a Siamese named “Dizzy”. Her hobbies include yard sales, swimming, boating and cooking. She also loves spending time with her daughter.
Shanoa
Shanoa has been a groomer at Helmwood since 2008. She is married to her husband, Michael, and they have two small children, Katelyn and Keyan. Shanoa says she enjoys being a wife and mother very much. As for a hobby, she has her work. "There's nothing like doing something you love!" says Shanoa. She has been grooming since 2005 and is a huge animal lover. Her pets include a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel named Tinkerbell and a Coonhound named Sassy.
