Dr. Olivia Reed
Dr. Olivia Reed is a Hardin County native. She attended Western Kentucky University and received her D.V.M. degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in June 1999. She has been employed with Helmwood Veterinary Clinic since her graduation from veterinary school. She and her husband, Ben, have a son, Lane. They also share their home with four dogs and four cats. Outside of work, Dr. Reed enjoys activities with her family, is active in her church, and works with Central Hardin FFA Alumni.

Dr. Jodi Howell
Having completed her pre-veterinary studies at Murray State University, Dr. Jodi Howell attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in June, 2003. As an undergraduate, Dr. Howell was a member of the women’s varsity rowing team and the recipient of academic and community service awards. As a veterinary student, she earned several academic scholarships and graduated cum laude. A member of the Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Howell is married to her husband Brian who is a graphic designer/layout artist. They have three daughters. Some of Dr. Howell’s interests include reading, hiking, camping, water skiing and rowing. The Howell’s furry companions include two cats; Jezebel and Cali, and two dogs; Daisi and Sam.
Dr. Crystal Hamann-Showen
Dr. Crystal J. Hamann-Showen is a native of Kendallville, Indiana. She attended North Carolina State University and graduated in 2005 with a BS in Biological Sciences Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Hamann-Showen enrolled Kansas State University of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated in August 2011 Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Her professional interest is in ophthalmology, endocrinology and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Hamann-Showen has volunteered at numerous shelters in the past and has worked at Aurora Animal Clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska and Sanford Animal Hospital in Sanford, North Carolina. She is married to her husband SFC Todd Showen. Todd is currently in the military and plans on retiring in this area. They have two dogs Sydney and Jessie. Outside of work, Dr. Hamann-Showen’s interests are nature walks, reading and cooking and spending time with her husband and their furry babies.
